I was a student at Indianapolis Public School #33 in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s where Mrs. Linke was a teacher. I must say she was awesome and my very favorite teachers of all times. I was not her best student, but I tried the best I could. She tried to work with me, but I just did not get it! I made it through and she encouraged me all the way. If she were alive today, I would like for her to know that I did get a 4-year degree and became a professional law enforcement officer, an instructor and an author. I remember her bringing Bobbie to some of our school events and we all loved to see Bobbie! I know I sure did. Thank you Mrs. Linke for all your loving, kindness and caring of all your students. You made your mark in life and I am sure you will be missed by many as I will miss you. God Bless your family.

Mrs. Linke was my homeroom teacher and Language Arts teacher for two years when IPS #101 first opened in the fall of 1962. She was strict, funny, caring and one of my favorite teachers. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. She was a treasure!
